As a tech reviewer, I recently got my hands on the Xiaomi Haylou Flowbuds N50, a pair of earbuds that promise to deliver high-quality sound and advanced features at an affordable price. The price of these earbuds on AliExpress is around $35, which is quite competitive considering the features they offer.
Quick Navigation (Table of Contents)
Design and Build Quality
The design of the Haylou Flowbuds N50 is sleek and modern, with a compact charging case that can easily fit in a pocket or purse. The earbuds themselves are lightweight and comfortable to wear, with a secure fit that stays in place even during exercise or other physical activities. The charging case has a plastic hinge that allows it to open and close smoothly, and the earbuds can be easily inserted and removed from the case.
The build quality of the Haylou Flowbuds N50 is generally good, with a sturdy charging case and earbuds that feel solid in the hand. However, the assembly of the charging case could be better, as there is a slight gap between the two halves of the case. The earbuds themselves are well-made, with a smooth finish and a secure fit in the ear.
The Haylou Flowbuds N50 also feature IPX5 water resistance, which means they can withstand splashes of water and sweat. However, it’s not recommended to submerge them in water or expose them to excessive moisture.
Sound Quality
The sound quality of the Haylou Flowbuds N50 is excellent, with clear and balanced audio that is well-suited for music, movies, and phone calls. The earbuds feature large 12.4mm dynamic drivers that produce deep bass and clear treble, and the sound is generally well-balanced and detailed. The earbuds also support multiple audio codecs, including SBC, AAC, and LDAC, which ensures that the sound quality is good regardless of the device being used.
The Haylou Flowbuds N50 also feature active noise cancellation, which can be turned on and off using the touch controls on the earbuds. The noise cancellation is effective at reducing background noise, and it’s especially useful in noisy environments such as public transportation or busy streets.
In addition to the standard sound modes, the Haylou Flowbuds N50 also feature a transparency mode that allows outside sound to be heard. This mode is useful for situations where it’s necessary to be aware of the surroundings, such as when walking or biking.
Features and Specifications
The Haylou Flowbuds N50 have a range of features that make them a compelling choice for anyone looking for a pair of affordable earbuds. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0, which provides a stable and reliable connection to devices. They also feature a long-lasting battery that provides up to 10 hours of playback time on a single charge, and the charging case can extend the playback time to up to 32 hours.
The Haylou Flowbuds N50 also feature touch controls that allow users to play and pause music, adjust the volume, and answer phone calls. The earbuds also support voice assistants, such as Siri and Google Assistant, which can be activated using the touch controls.
In addition to the standard features, the Flowbuds N50 also feature a range of advanced features, such as a low-latency gaming mode and a find-my-earbuds feature that allows users to locate their earbuds if they are lost.
Final Thoughts — Price & Value
The price of the Xiaomi Haylou Flowbuds N50 is around $35, which is a very competitive price considering the features and sound quality they offer. While they may not have the same level of build quality as some more expensive earbuds, they are a great value for the price and are definitely worth considering for anyone looking for a pair of affordable earbuds.
Overall, the Haylou Flowbuds N50 are a great choice for anyone looking for a pair of earbuds that can provide good sound quality and advanced features without breaking the bank. While they may have some minor flaws, such as the assembly of the charging case, they are a great value for the price and are definitely worth considering.
