Teclast is one of the leading Chinese companies in electronic devices, especially tablets, so in this review, we will get to know the latest Teclast P20HD mid-range tablet device with cheap price and acceptable specifications, as it is equipped with a Spreadtrum SC9863A processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage space and highlights its strength through The latest Android 10 system on a large 10.1-inch screen, so it will be a good tablet device for watching video content or reading digital books and maybe even for games, and this is what we will learn about in this article.

    Teclast P20HD Features

    • Spreadtrum SC9863A 1.6GHz CPU
    • 10.1 inch IPS Full HD display with 1920 x 1200
    • 4GB RAM 64GB ROM
    • Dual Camera, Bigger Pixel
    • Android 10
    • 6000mAh battery
    • 4G Network
    • Dual Band 2.4GHz / 5.0GHz WiFi
    • Support GPS Function

    Design:

Overall, the design of the Teclast P20HD is simple and clean and there is nothing to draw attention to it, it’s lightweight at 531g and measures 243 * 163 * 9.3mm so you can carry it with one hand, the frame is made of plastic, but the back is metal with good manufacturing quality and this you will not find in others tablets at the same price, although it does not contain any kind of protection, but, it’s solid and withstands shocks and harsh use, but do not get too excited, OK.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

On the front, it has a large 10.1-inch screen with thick black edges and a camera on the top for selfies and video calls. On the left side, we find the volume up / down and the power buttons, a reset button directly below, and a Type-c charging port.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

We find on the top, the SIM tray with one SIM card slot and one micro-SD card slot next to the 3.5mm headphone jack port for external audio devices.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

Last but not least, we find the 5 MP rear camera with a slight bump on the back, few port indicators, and the Teclast logo.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

At the bottom are stereo speakers, which we’ll talk about later about their sound quality, and the right side is clear without ports.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

    Display:

Teclast P20HD has a 10.1 inch IPS FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 which has 2.5D curved edges that look nice to the touch compared to flat screens and easy to handle.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

This large screen provides a better experience than smartphones, whether you are playing games or watching your favorite program, or even reading manga One Piece, the colors may not be the same as you find on the AMOLED screen, but they are enough, they are sharp and bright that you will not face any problems using the P20HD When exposed to direct sunlight.

Also, you can further fine-tune the white balance adjustment from the display settings to rendering crisp-looking images with plenty of fine details and good contrast.

    Software:

We are about to enter 2021 and is better the Android 10 to be the predominant operating system in most devices, and this is what Teclast P20HD offers us stock Android system is safe without unwanted pre-installed applications that annoy us with ads like the cheap tablets, Also, it has a simple interface with the inclusion of most features that come with this system, the most important of which is the dark mode, compatibility with the Play Store, and others.

However, the tablet provides a very smooth and lag-free experience as long as the usage is light like social media or playing light games. Although Teclast promises that the first boot will not take more than 30 seconds, but, it took about 5 minutes, it is a long time.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

    Teclast P20HD Performance:

In terms of performance, the Teclast P20HD provided great performance in most of its basic uses such as browsing the web, watching videos on YouTube, using social media applications, and reading e-books or manga, where everything was running efficiently and without facing any problems with stopping applications or a high temperature or slow device.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

Most of the application was run at great speed and thanks to the 64 GB storage capacity, it will be suitable for installing any application you need, with the ability to expand via the Micro SD card to another 128 GB.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

For multitasking was smooth between applications because it is equipped with 4 GB RAM enough for such tasks. In short for basic tasks, this tablet will give you a very positive experience.

But, when you do anything very cumbersome for the tablet device that includes playing high-settings games, the modes may vary depending on the application, the game, or any type of business that needs large resources, and this despite the fact that the processor used on P20HD its Unisoc Spreadtrum sc9832e Octa-Core processor with speed 1.6GHz core is one of the most powerful processors used in mid-range tablets, yet it remains sufficient for light tasks.

And if you were wondering about its score on Antutu, it wasn’t much as it is about 100k, which remains very good for a budget tablet.

Unfortunately, with this processor, the tablet will not be suitable for games with high graphics such as PUBG or COD Mobile, or other high-end games, But if play on medium settings, you will enjoy smooth gameplay and a decent frame rate.

    Playing Content:

For playing the content on YouTube, the matter was very smooth. You can play the videos maximum on 1080p 60fps without any problems in lag.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

Unfortunately, P20HD does not have a Widevine DRM level 1 so, it’s not possible to watch paid services like Netflix and amazon prime in 4k. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy Netflix and all other streaming services at a smooth 480p.

    Cameras:

So far, the overall evaluation of the Teclast P20HD tablet is more than wonderful, but this does not mean that it is perfect, especially when we are talking about a low-cost tablet, in terms of the rear and front cameras its very poor, on the back has a 5MP primary sensor with recording videos in 720P, this camera not wonderful you will not use it except when necessary as the quality is low.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

And there a 2MP sensor on the front for video calls in 480P or for taking selfies, although it disappointed me due to its low quality with there some noise while recording from the mic.
in short, this tablet not intended for photography, And I cannot complain more because it is expected that the cameras will be this bad and this is common in this type of device, just it was my duty to warn to that.

    Sound Quality:

The sound on the P20HD is not one of its strengths and yet the built-in speakers are not that bad which the sound in them is very loud but acceptable at best it may, even though this 3.5mm audio jack was much worse as it lacks clarity and does not contain bass. However, you can solve this problem by getting a good pair of wireless headphones, the prices have dropped. On this occasion, allow me to suggest i11 TWS wireless headphones with good sound quality at a cheap price.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

    Connectivity:

Connectivity options for this tablet include a high-speed Wi-Fi network that supports dual-band 2.4GHz / 5GHz AC power that has done well and provided maximum internet speed you have, Also, it includes GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4G LTE with acceptable signal quality and coverage to easily make phone calls and internet access.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

    Teclast P20HD Battery And Charging:

The Teclast P20HD packs a built-in 6000mAh battery that allows 7-8 hours of continuous use for Browse the Internet, Google, YouTube, follow social media, and even play games and with moderate use will stay with you for a whole day on a single charge, Mostly taken about 4 hours almost to fully charge the 6000mAh with use USB-C, Charging time seems long, but such capacity is not small and there is no fast charging. However, I can say that the battery lives up to expectations.

    teclast-p20hd-tablet-review

    Conclusion:

In conclusion, what I can tell you is that the Teclast P20HD for a tablet device under $ 130 is worth what you paid for and more. The specifications he gave were justified, powerful Android 10 system and a processor capable of handling heavy tasks in addition to the presence of 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage space, large battery capacity, and more and more features that we talked about in the review, only there are some things that did not I liked it, the camera and the audio jack, which is normal. You know the cost of this device and what it gave us in return. However, if you are looking for an alternative, there is an Alldocube iPlay 20 with almost the same specifications and price.
