Design And Build Quality
Charging Case
From the aesthetic, Baseus adopts a simple and elegant appearance. The charger case, which is oval in shape with a compact size and light at just 35g makes it very comfortable to hold and enough to fit in a pocket, is made of smooth matte black plastic and shows little scratches or finger marks, On the front, is the brand name “Baseus” for an attractive look, it looks sturdy, compact and in principle should withstand any fall or accidental impact without problems.
On top we find the lid that is held fairly with a magnet to the rest of the body so you won’t have to worry about it opening inside your pocket or the earbuds falling off, trust me I have tried my best to open it by shaking but the lid doesn’t seem to budge an inch, but you can easily open it with one hand to uncover what’s beneath, there we find the earbuds sitting nicely inside their appropriate spot held by magnets as well, as well as charging due the contact of the pins located within. Under the notch is an LED light that glows blue that indicating charging and power.
The bottom of the charging case is flat for easy stability, and the USB-C charging port on the underside, which is annoying in some cases, Also its supports wireless charging, it’s a great feature in this price range.
Baseus Bowie E9 Earbuds
Looking at the design, The feel of the Baseus Bowie E9 Wireless Headphone is excellent and these are well-made with a compact and have an in-ear format with a small design and short stem. Also, the design in a matte finish while the exterior features a touch panel, and most importantly the body is Lightweight at only about 3.5g to be comfortable on the ear while on the go, and a silicone earplug helps the headphones stick to your ear very well, no matter what activity you are performing, whether it’s a simple working session, a run or even if you are jumping rope, these bad boys won’t fall off no matter what, in addition to the waterproof life certification that provides protection for your headphones from light water droplets, rain or sweat, your mind will be at ease from the stress of losing or damaging them during sports or just normal usage and allows to go by your daily activities and deliver your best while enjoying music and answering calls seamlessly all along.
On the lower side of the earbuds, you will find the magnetic pins that help keep the earbuds still inside the case and charge them as well as the touch control area which we’ll get into in a second in addition to a 2 microphone hole in each bud for all the communication, it’s worth mentioning that this earbud doesn’t come with noise-canceling technology, except that because of the way it’s built, it’s impossible to hear your surroundings at a certain high volume.
Baseus Bowie E9 Waterproof
The Baseus Bowie E9 is IPX5 Waterproof certified, this will prevent any form of damage from rain and water and sweat which means it will allow you to move more freely under rain and exercise better knowing your headphones are safe from the sweat. Despite that, we still don’t recommend putting it under direct water or submerging it for example, because that will definitely damage it. The charging case is not waterproof, as a result of daily use, the effectiveness of the earbuds’ waterproofing may reduce over time.
Touch Control Panel
To control the Baseus Bowie E9, there is a high-precision touch control panel on the top of the earbud that can achieve precise control with responsive touch sensitivity that’s big enough that you don’t have to use your fingers very precisely to get things done. All functions are handled by long-pressing or tapping on the earbuds like play, pause, skip tracks, take calls, reject calls, adjust volume, low latency, and voice assistant.
- Play/Pause = Wear and take out the earphones

How To Pair Baseus Bowie E9
Baseus Bowie E9 offers strong compatibility with both IOS and Android devices for two devices simultaneously and automatic switch between devices. Also, it’s quick and easy pairing thanks to adopting a premium chipset that uses Bluetooth 5.2 for stable and powerful transmission, lower delay, and smoother connection for high sound quality. and supports the most popular audio decoding for SBC and AAC unfortunately, there is no aptX Adaptive codec, However, this is to be expected in this price category. And you can enjoy music up to 10m long even with thin walls between you and your device.
However, pairing in Bowie E9 is the same as any wireless earbuds, quick and easy all you have to do is open the charging case and take them out and they will automatically turn on and enter the pairing state. Immediately after that, open the Bluetooth interface of the smartphone, the “Baseus Bowie E9” earphone will automatically be recognized, click it, and the pairing is completed successfully. Pairing is done manually once, after which it’s automatic and fast with Bluetooth enabled, just remove it from the box and use it. You can also choose to connect only one earphone at a time without any problem.
Baseus App For Bowie E9
It’s nice that the Baseus app supports Baseus Bowie E9, which means that these Bluetooth headsets support personal customization.
The application here is smooth and with a simple interface through which you can, You’ll be able to control the earbuds and change gesture and dedicated Customizable EQ Setting that let you raise effects you might want to use for music only and these effects stay with the headphones even if you use them with a different device I think this is a great feature.
Baseus Bowie E9 Audio Quality
In terms of sound quality, the Baseus Bowie E9 earphones have a great stereo effect and powerful dynamic range for all types of music with excellent treble, mid-tones, and bass. Equipped with dynamic drivers that give you surprisingly clean sound with little to no noise when the ultra-low frequencies let you know where each singer was positioned, the intensity of their voice, and instrument discrimination was good and everything felt very balanced. So the Bowie E9 was great in that regard. Even when the volume was fully turned up, there was no distortion coming from the low end. What the E9 lacks are some details, which is a logical factor for an earbud in this category.
Active Noise Canceling
In addition to the sound quality, ANC technology makes for a really great combination as it reduces any background sound, noise, or sound effects and intelligently cancels each one by emitting the exact opposite frequency up to 40dB by using 2 built-in microphones on each bud, which means it can filter out up to 95% of outside noise. however, you can hear some slight noise, and activating and disabling ANC will not give you that dazzling impression and there will not be a significant impact on the sound quality, but it is acceptable in this category. To make it simple, the high end of the background noise will still be audible, helping with directionality, but the bass and mids no longer block the music.
Game Mode
Game mode or low latency mode is an entirely different mode of features, and for gaming and watching a video, once activated, the earbuds will provide low latency and this is made possible by the advanced Bluetooth 5.2 and microphone technologies. That’s why FPS gaming is a viable option with these headphones by making sure that the sound effects sync properly with your screen at all times. It is a perfect feature that works very well if you are a Fortnite, Battlefield Mobile, or PUBG, it makes a difference but there is still some lag
This mode is also suitable for watching a video, as the sound on your smartphone screen matches what you see on the screen without delay. For those of us who use iOS devices, there is support for AAC which means we get the best sound too.
Call Quality
In addition to the audio modes, the Baseus Bowie E9’s voice dialing performed well. It sounded better and was above average because the earbuds were under $50, so call quality is excellent and that’s because it’s equipped with noise reduction technology, it’s supposed to eliminate background noise and pick up your voice very clearly without picking up all the sounds surrounding you from echo or other interference, and your voice on the other end can be heard correctly, even in crowded places.
Bowie E9 Battery And Charging Time
The Charging case of the Baseus Bowie E9 has a battery with a capacity of 400mah, the earbuds themselves got a capacity of 40mah, and the earplugs have lasted with me on average 8-10 hours of continuous usage on one charge, but with the case, they lasted a little over one 2 days, even though it has decent sound quality and bass, thanks to the optimized BT5.2 chip that consumes less battery than the previous generation and delivers better audio, this will allow you a great autonomy, you don’t have to ever worry about your battery dying out mid-day, enjoy your music and calls freely, these headphones will be your companions for the longest duration possible.
When you put the earphone into the charging case, the earphone will automatically enter into the charging state. The storage box itself can be recharged in about 1 hour via Type-C or wireless charging.
Verdict
If you are looking for an upgrade or simply want to try a new version of these inexpensive earbuds that offer a good value; Look no further. The Baseus Bowie E9 Wireless Earbuds are an excellent pair of wireless headphones with a compact design that is comfortable and secure.
It offers decent battery life, sound quality and volume levels are excellent, the bass was strong, and the mids and highs were very clear without distortion or hum.
