Design And Build Quality

The design in the Blackview A95 is beautiful, elegant, and with touches similar to iPhones, it has a Plastic body with 163.7mm length and 75.5mm width, and a solid frame of 8.55mm thickness, it feels great when you hold it in your hand, and because its weight does not exceed 195g will not tire you while using it for long periods. If you ask me about the quality of the manufacturing, there is nothing to complain about it, it’s the closest thing to a premier because Blackview is always working to provide high-quality products to users all over the world at an affordable price.

The front and back glass was not a 2.5D, which means that is not curved, meaning it’s completely flat, and even the frame was flat-edged, while the back came in three colors, either Summer Ocean Blue, Fantasy Galaxy Rainbow, Aurora Night Black.

On The Front

Front of the device, you have a full-screen 6.53-inches with very thin edges on the sides, at the bottom, there is a thick chin, in addition to a Water Drop notch with an 8MP camera for taking selfies and video chats, which we will talk more about soon.

On The Back

It’s flat and clean with an excellent appearance with 8-layer Vacuum Nano-optical Coating and 3D Laser Technology, as there are only three colors to choose from as mentioned previously.
What catches your attention is the triple cameras with a design similar to iPhones and has a flashlight in the upper left corner with a rather slight bump, so you have to protect it with a cover, under the cameras, there is a Blackview logo.

Ports And Buttons

As for the ports, the phone comes with a USB Type-C port from the bottom with a powerful loudspeaker and a microphone. The buttons are, as usual, the integrated power button with a fingerprint sensor, the volume button, and the dual SIM with the memory slot. If you notice the 3.5mm audio jack is missing, that means either you have to use wireless headphones or a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.

Blackview A95 – Display Quality

Even in 2022, if you are talking about a budget smartphone, it will most likely be the LCD IPS screen, and this is what the Blackview A95 offers, but that does not mean that it is bad, as it’s of large size of 6.53 inches in HD+ and a modest screen resolution of 720*1600 gives you bright, sharp colors and wide viewing angles that are more than great for consuming content visible on YouTube or otherwise.

In short, with the Blackview A95 in the budget category, you will get be value for what you pay, a large and high-quality screen suitable for media consumption, whether you are watching the video, playing games, or browsing social media.

Blackview A95 – Cameras

One of the main points of the Blackview A95 is the cameras. In terms of their specifications, there is nothing to worry about, because you get an 8MP front camera and a 20MP Sony® IMX376 rear camera. It’s the highest-pixel A-series handset ever, engineered to provide an excelling shooting experience no matter by day or at night, in well-lit or poor-lit conditions. When in low-light environments, the IMX376 sensor adopts a 4-in-1 pixel binning technology to quadruple the light sensitivity, 300% higher than ordinary sensors to help shoot bright photographs of 5MP.

In well-lit conditions, the re-mosaic algorithm works to help capture images with richer details. Moreover, with upgrades on software algorithms, A95 supports HDR 2.0, Night Mode 2.0, HDR Video, AI Portrait Bokeh, PortraitColor, and AI Beauty modes.

Blackview A95 Performance

If we talk about performance, Blackview A95 offers great performance in most of its basic and entertainment uses such as browsing the web, watching videos on YouTube, using social media applications, even playing games, as everything worked efficiently.

CPU Performance

Well, It is time to expose A95 to some tasks that need more effort and there is nothing better than playing games with high settings, the conditions differ according to the application, game, or any type of app that needs large resources, and because the processor used is MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core SoC based on 4x big ARM Cortex-A73 2.1 GHz and 4x small and power-efficient ARM Cortex-A53 up to 2.0GHz with 12nm architecture was one of the most powerful processors used in a mid-range smartphone.

In popular games that frequently generate a heavy load across the SoC, the P70 provides up to 35% lower power and delivers 10-30% more AI processing efficiency than the previous Helio P60.

GPU

The chipset equipped Mali-G72 MP4 800 MHz graphics for good performance in games, but it depends on the type of game and its requirements, in games such as CoD mobile and PUBG you will play on medium settings, more than those settings, yes you can play games but not with the perfect experience.

Ram And Storage Space

Most of the applications run very quickly and thanks to the 128GB storage capacity type UFS 2.1, helps accelerate downloading and launching apps earlier and it would be suitable for installing any application you need, with the ability to expand via a Micro SD card to 1TB.

And for multitasking, browsing between applications was smooth because it is equipped with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM allows for faster running speed and lower consumption, and its more than enough for most of the tasks that you can do with a smartphone such as keeping many applications or large games running in the background. In Short, for multitasking, this smartphone will give you a very positive experience.

Software

The Blackview A95 works on Android 11 with a new UI update for Doke OS 2.1 with redesigned wallpapers, icons, and other elements to be more coherent and consistent for the overall visuals. It optimizes from AI pre-loading and animations to gesture navigation for more responsiveness and efficiency. New improvements on Cold Room, System Manager, Split Screen, Game Mode, and 3-finger Screenshot make each use a delight.

Fingerprint & Face Unlock + BOX Speaker + High-power Receiver

Users can expect more. The 2-in-1 power button & fingerprint sensor helps unlock the smartphone in a flash. It also supports secure facial recognition. Powerful BOX speaker creates a truly immersive audio experience with fine sound detail and depth. When calling, hear clearly even in noisy environments with the high-volume sound delivered from the 50MW high-power receiver.

Connectivity

Blackview A95 is a dual-SIM smartphone equipped with a SIM slot that accommodates two 4G nano-sim cards that support all bandwidth offerings of 4G and 3G and so on, so its expected that you will get wide coverage and good signal quality for making phone calls and accessing the Internet easily, In addition to having a MicroSD card on the same socket.

To connect to WiFi networks, the A95 supports dual bandwidths of 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and of course, there is Bluetooth 4.2. That’s not all, there are also some basic sensors for a smartphone, including a Proximity, Light, G-sensor, Compass.

Blackview A95 Battery Life And Charging Time

Blackview A95 has a built-in 4380mAhmAh non-removable Li-Po battery that allows 7-9 hours of continuous use for surfing the Internet, Google, YouTube, and following social media, of course, the time is less when playing games and with moderate use, it will stay with you for a whole day on one charge it mostly takes about 2 hours to fully charge with Type-C and 18W fast charging. However, I can say that the battery was very satisfying.

For a regular user, the battery will easily last for a whole working day, depending on your usage such as the times you open the screen, and the type of applications you run, also it suffices for more than 7 consecutive hours of watching videos.
