To be with me on the line, today we have a new device from EKSA Telecom, and if you don’t know if you are missing something as it is a modern audio brand that focuses on flexible and effective communication systems to filter out ambient noise while retaining clear voices. This hands-free noise-canceling headphones use ENC technology ideal for different work environments such as call centers, warehouses, etc., and operate under the motto “Be Heard Anywhere”. They also have some dual headphones but the EKSA H1 is the first single headphone.

The EKSA H1 Trucker Wireless Headset is equipped with a microphone and features a long wireless range of up to 99 feet and a talk time of up to 30 hours. The ear cushion is designed for all-day comfort as it is geared toward call centers and truck drivers. However, it is so versatile that you can use it to listen to music and that won’t be a problem because it also has noise-canceling features and Bluetooth compatibility, allowing you to handle all work tasks while listening to music at the same time. With that, let’s get into some depth with this headset and learn more about it.

    Design And Build Quality

First of all, the Eksa H1 features a single-sided earcup design while keeping the other ear exposed freely. On the headset, we find the multifunction buttons and a rotatable microphone boom. On the other side, there is a headband that needs to be balanced to help you reduce pressure on your head from the side of the headset and it is good that it ends with a large anti-slip pad that appears to be rubber and the earcup has a soft foam padding that can be removed and cleaned easily and because it covers the entire ear thus provides good insulation.

Moreover, the helmet is not too heavy as it weighs about 150g it is very comfortable to wear and use for long periods and you will not feel it much on your head. Overall, the design is beautiful and made of black plastic, which I find suitable for the uses of this headset.

There is a small LED indicator next to the USB port that indicates the charging status. And because it’s wireless, there are no cumbersome cables that keep you locked in place, creating an excellent sense of freedom.

The metal headband contains a small layer of rubber to help keep the unit in place once it is properly fitted to your head and is also adjustable. Finally, it’s worth noting that the headset can be worn on the left or right ear, as the microphone rod can rotate 270 degrees so you can comfortably wear the H1 on either ear. The single earbud can be rotated at an angle of 60 degrees which means that it sits well to fit your ear however you cannot lay the earbud flat on a desk.

The Eksa H1 headphones benefit from a range of onboard controls and there are 4 buttons, but their uses are multiple.

    Headphone Controls

Since the four buttons are physical and clickable, you rarely hit the wrong buttons as they are easy to distinguish by touch.

    • The middle button is multifunctional that allows you to turn the headset on or off (press for 3 seconds) and turn on Bluetooth, play or pause (press once) or turn on Siri (press three times). As for what you have to do when you receive calls, it is also used to answer or end calls. By pressing for 2 seconds, the call is rejected. To redial the last number, double-click the button. To switch from the sound of your phone to the sound of headphones or vice versa, you can press this button for two seconds.
    • The volume buttons allow you to increase or decrease the volume, but also allow you to switch tracks by pressing + or – for two seconds.
    • Finally, the button on the mic lever lets you mute when you want to mute calls.

    EKSA H1 – Connectivity & Pairing

EKSA H1 Wireless Speaker provides a clear connection because it is equipped with 5.0 Bluetooth technology; The headset can be easily paired with any smartphone, radio, smartwatch, tablet, laptop, etc. Pairing took a single press of the elliptical button in the middle, and within seconds I was connected. The button flashes red and blue when not paired with another device. When connected correctly, the button flashes blue and you hear on the headset that the connection has been made.

The specificity of the headset and what makes it really unique is the ability to connect it to two devices at the same time. Two phones for example, or a phone and a computer and switch between them easily.

In the office or at home, it allows you not to be completely isolated and listen to the outside world. Plus, being wireless makes it easy to move around. The wireless range is 30m which is quite huge and the signal stays good even in another room. And all of this because the H1 Bluetooth Headset has been specifically designed for truck drivers, call centers, construction sites, and warehouses while you still have to hear what’s going on around you. (Note: The wireless communication distance can reach longer distances up to 40m, provided there are no obstacles.)

    Dual Pairing

After successfully connecting the headset to Device A (your phone), turn off the Bluetooth of device A. The headset Bluetooth indicator flashes red and blue alternately to enter the pairing state. Turn on device B, search for and connect to EKSA H1. Turn on The Bluetooth A device to connect with EKSA H1. After connection, the H1 and devices A and B are in a connected state simultaneously.

    EKSA H1 Audio Quality

While the EKSA H1 wireless headphones seem to offer nothing special, the reality is quite the opposite as they are a microphone with a built-in chipset that monitors background noise and instantly produces an opposite signal. This is called noise reduction, eliminating up to 80% of unwanted noise. Like wind sound and background noise. It does an impressive job of separating your voice from background noise. The single earpiece audio experience took a moment to get used to, but once you do, you start enjoying a free ear to hear your entire surroundings and keep you informed of what’s going on around you.

    EKSA H1 Wireless Headset Review

Knowing that the H1 is a budget option, however, it is equipped with a highly sensitive (114dB) 40mm dynamic driver with low impedance (32 ohms) that is fully capable of producing high-quality sound and pays special attention to the heavy bass, as it is balanced and tuned to the right level. They’re not overly powerful and seem well suited to giving off a nice balance, so they mostly excel with rich bass tones like dance, electronic styles, and hip-hop – that’s the kind of music this type of headphone produces so well.

The EKSA H1 also offers great call quality whether you are using it in a noisy environment such as a call center, office or at home, whatever environmental background noise you encounter will be handled with ease. So the call quality is excellent for a budget headset and this is due to having a good quality built-in omnidirectional microphone with ENC that picks up your voice very clearly without picking up all the sounds around you from echoing or anything else to distort and the other party didn’t have any problem with our voice.

EKSA H1 Battery And Charging Time

EKSA H1 is equipped with a 500mAh battery capacity for long hours of use, after just 90 minutes of full charge via USB-C port, you can enjoy about 57 hours of music time, about 30 hours of talk time, and 165 hours of standby time. The battery life seems reasonable and you can use it continuously for a few days without recharging. It’s good that when the battery is less than 10%, the headset gives a “battery low” beep. Note that you cannot use the headset while charging either because the Bluetooth connection automatically disconnects.

    Verdict

What I liked about the EKSA Telecom H1 is that it is a comfortable wireless headphone experience although it is a one-sided earpiece with quick and easy pairing followed by excellent call clarity thanks to the noise cancellation and the battery life seems to be excellent as well. In terms of music, the sound quality was not that bad and that is to be expected because these headphones are not specifically aimed at music lovers but are more geared toward the business sector.
That is why if you work in a call center as a truck driver or something similar, it will definitely be suitable for you. Or you can even use it to listen to music and that won’t be a problem, allowing you to handle all work tasks, and listen to music at the same time.
