Display:

The Teclast M40 has a 10.1-inch IPS FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, it comes in a 2.5D curved edges touch panel with improved response accuracy. This type of screen is acceptable for a budget tablet and offers good color reproduction with no image distortion and has very good maximum brightness. But do not expect the same clarity to see the content that you find on high-performance tablets, and its not declared if the touchpad is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass that is resistant to scratches and shocks.

Teclast M40 Performance:

Under the hood, the Teclast M40 is equipped with a Unisoc T618 Octa-Core 12nm powered by 2 ARM Cortex-A75 up to 2.0 GHz processors and six Cortex-A55 cores and with a Mali-G52 GPU up to 850 MHz, and to be honest, I have no knowledge of the capabilities of this processor, And according to the company, he got 200,000 Score on AnTuTu Benchmark, most likely it will not be suitable to play on High settings for high-graphics games like PUBG or COD Mobile or other high-end games, But if work on medium settings and at a good frame rate it will be more than amazing.

As for storage, it comes with LPDDR4 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB with a TF card. In short, the capacity it offers is very good and you do not have to think about choosing, and for this cheap price it is a good deal.

However, thanks to the large RAM capacity, there will be no problem with multitasking, and doubts remain about what the processor will offer us.

Playing Content:

Playback of video content, in most cases, will support a maximum of 1080P at 60 FPS to be without any problems with lag. And if it has Widevine DRM level 1, paid services such as Netflix and amazon prime cannot be viewed in high resolution and it will have a higher resolution of 480P.

Cameras of Teclast M40:

The tablet is equipped with a 8MP rear camera with autofocus, Also on the front has 8MP selfie shooter for video calls. Of course, will not expect much as we are talking about a cheap tablet, It should only provide acceptable quality for making video calls or quick photos.

Connectivity:

Connectivity options include high-speed Wi-Fi supports ac Dual-Band 2.4GHz/5GHz, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual 4G LTE, Still, the signal quality I cannot help you without testing.

Teclast M40 Battery And Charging:

The Teclast M40 packs a built-in 6000mAh battery allows 7-Hour Online Video Playback and with moderate use will stay with you for a whole day on a single charge, Mostly taken about 4 hours almost to fully charge the 6000mAh with the use of USB-C, Charging time seems long, but such capacity is not small and there is no fast charging.

Summary:

From what I see, the Teclast M40 tablet offers us great specifications without costing much while keeping pace with what the higher devices offer us, 10.1-inch FHD Screen with Android 10.1 system and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, Long Time Battery Life 6000mAh, Dual-Band WIFI 2.4GHz / 5.0GHz, Dual 4G Network + GPS Function, There is nothing better than this a value for the price.

  1. Dear staff,

The Teclast M40 has bluetooth 5 and I am curious if it can use (play) the codec “APTX HD”? Does it also plays “HEVC 265” format video content?

    Respectfully,

    Mr. Dutchie

    • So far, yes, it is considered the best in this price range, but there is a slightly cheaper alternative, Alldocube iPlay 30.

  2. Thank you very much for your reply. Whatever the outcome if it plays “APTX HD” Bluetooth or video format HEVC 265. I did order the tablet anyway and I’m very curious if it will fulfill my expectations for this price range.
All the best with your valuable reviews!

    • In fact, the performance, specifications, and even the price, the Teclast M18 is better, the only thing that the Teclast M40 excels in is the bigger RAM, which can be ignored, but because it contains Android 10, you will have better and longer support for applications that you will not find on Teclast M18 which is powered by Android 8, which is considered a little old and will not last long, in short, the system is the decisiveness point.

  3. Buongiorno a tutti.

Grazie.
