Regardless of that, how its overall performance and does it live up to its price or competition in this category, All this and more in this review.

    Design And Build Quality:

The design in the Umidigi A11 is beautiful, elegant, and modern with slight changes from the other versions as it features a glass body on both sides with a length of 162.2mm and a width of 75mm with a solid metal frame that gives a kind of thickness of 9.2mm a wonderful feeling when held in your hand, despite its weight of 222G may be heavy for some, I hope its performance is worth it. If you ask me about the quality of the manufacturing, there is nothing to complain about it, it’s the closest thing to a premier because Umidigi is always working to provide high-quality products to users all over the world at an affordable price.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

The front and back glass, unusually, was not a 2.5D, which means that the glass is not curved, meaning it is completely flat, and even the metal frame was flat edged in silver, while the back came in two colors, either Mist Blue or Frost Gray.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    On The Front:

On the front of the device, you have a full screen 6.53 with very thin edges on the sides, at the bottom, there is a not very narrow chin, in addition to a notch teardrop in V-shaped from the top that contains the selfie camera, which we will talk about soon.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    On The Back:

On the back, you have a flat, clean back panel with an excellent appearance, and as we mentioned, the new one here is AG matte glass, anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint to be more comfortable in the hand with a precise finish, as there are only two colors to choose from as mentioned previously.
What catches your attention is the triple cameras and they have the flash and an infrared thermometer in the upper left corner with a rather large bump, so you have to protect it with a cover, under the cameras, there is a large beautiful glossy writing to display the concept of “beyond dreams” opposite on the right the UMIDIGI logo.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Ports And Buttons:

As for the ports, the phone comes with a USB Type-C port from the bottom with a powerful loudspeaker and a microphone, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is at the top. The buttons are, as usual, the integrated power button with a fingerprint sensor, the volume down button, as well as the sim card and memory slot. It should be noted that there is a customizable shortcut button on the side.

Note: This smartphone is not waterproof, so it should not be exposed to any water source.

    Umidigi A11 – Display Quality:

Even in 2021, if you are talking about a budget Chinese smartphone, it will most likely be the LCD IPS screen, and this is what the Umidigi A11 offers, but that does not mean that it is bad, as it is at a large size of 6.53 inches in HD + with an aspect ratio 20: 9 and a modest screen resolution of 720 x 1600 gives you bright, sharp colors and wide viewing angles that are more than great for consuming content visible on YouTube or otherwise (AMOLED is still the best).

In addition to the teardrop-shaped screen, it comes with a very high density of about 409 PPI and this is a very large number of PPI that you cannot see any pixels on the screen at close range.

In short, with the A11 I will not say that its the best screen, even it does not differ much from the A9, but in the budget category, you will get the best value for what you pay, a large and high-quality screen suitable for media consumption, whether you are watching the video, playing games or browsing the social media.

    Umidigi A11 – Cameras:

One of the main points of the UMIDIGI A11 is the cameras. In terms of their specifications, there is nothing to worry about, but the last word remains in the actual performance.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Triple Rear Camera:

On the back, you get a Triple-camera setup that features a 16MP primary camera with F/2.0, 6-element lens. For the rest of the cameras, you have an 8MP wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 5MP macro lens.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

So far, the technical specifications are good, so let’s move on to the realistic performance, in photography under good lighting, the cameras can take really good pictures and capture a lot of details and with beautiful color saturation, so I liked the cameras, but in the night photos, they lacked quality with that, still good cameras considering the price.

    Front camera:

In the forefront of selfies or video chats, you get an 8MP camera with an F/2.2 aperture, a 5-element lens with an impressive algorithm, and several modes to choose from. This camera is also used for face unlock.

    Video:

You can shoot 1080p HD videos at 30 fps from both front and back cameras in well-lit environments with some poor stability.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Umidigi A11 Performance:

When it comes to performance, the CPU first thing that comes to your mind is the CPU, in UMiDigi A11 you get MediaTek Helio G25 processor which is a brand new premium processor that delivers powerful performance and is fast enough to give you a hassle-free experience when doing everyday tasks like gaming or watching clips Video or browsing, especially for multitasking, due to the fact that it is an octa-core A53 with speed up to 2.0 GHz and accurately manufactures 12 nm, The processor may seem unknown to you, but it’s present in many models of famous brands such as Xiaomi Redmi 9A and Motorola Moto E7 Power, Nokia G10 and more, so a G25 smartphone for under $ 150 is a good deal.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    GPU:

The graphics processing used here is the PowerVR8320 not the best thing, but it is value for the price so that its performance was good in games, but it depends on the type of game and its requirements, and sometimes there is some kind of delay, although it did not constitute an obstacle, and this is in games such as CoD mobile and PUBG. However, all you have to do is play on the low to medium settings, more than those settings, yes you can play games but not with the perfect experience.

    • umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Ram And Storage Space:

For RAM and storage space, you have two options, either 3 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM or 4 GB for 128 GB ROM and of course the second best choice.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

The RAM is LPDDR4X dual-channel for faster speed and smooth multitasking. The storage space is UFS 2.1 to be able to download programs and capture images freely and at greater speed, and you have the option to expand the storage space up to 256 GB using an external MicroSD card, and both technologies used in memory Random access and storage space is a new and advanced technology that greatly improves the overall speed performance and reduces power consumption.

I also recommend buying the higher version, it is suitable for gaming and more productive in multitasking, in addition to a lot of storage space, even the price is not much between the two versions.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    The Temperature:

The temperature on the device during normal use there is nothing that attracts attention and during heavy use, there is a slight rise in temperature, but it remains moderate and most of the heat is only in the back area.

    Overall Performance:

In sum, the performance on this phone is more than good and surpasses its precedent UMIDIGI A9 in tests even its competes with the new phones of international brands, The A11 as a cheap smartphone focused on daily use and playing games with medium settings and is equipped with a set of specifications and respectable features such camera, durability, and design make it interesting experience.

    DMR information and Widevine security:

Next, let’s take a look at the DMR information and Widevine security. I can tell you I’m a little disappointed with this because it’s only Level 3, so you won’t be able to get HD on Netflix or other streaming services. however, you can still enjoy Netflix and all other streaming services at a smooth 480p.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    OS:

In terms of OS, UMiDIGI A11 runs on the latest stock Android 11 for browsing speed, the user interface works fast and opens applications quickly. And you will find all the basic Android 11 features, on top of which is the dark mode.

    • umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Connectivity:

UMIDIGI A11 is a dual-SIM smartphone equipped with a SIM slot that accommodates two 4G nano-sim cards that support all bandwidth offerings of 4G and 3G and so on, so its expected that you will get wide coverage for calls and internet, In addition to having a MicroSD card on the same socket. To connect to WiFi networks, the A11 supports dual bandwidths of 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and of course, there is Bluetooth 5.0. That’s not all, there are also some basic sensors for a smartphone, including a gyroscope, accelerometers, and even an electronic compass.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    Note:
UMIDIGI A11 doesn’t have NFC so you can’t make mobile payments.

    UMiDigi A11 Infrared Thermometer 2.0:

The infrared temperature sensor in the UMiDigi A11 is real and is located inside the rear camera compartment and it is version 2.0, and it can be used by pointing the sensor towards the forehead of a person or any hot surface and it will show you the body temperature, which is not the same accuracy as a dedicated infrared thermometer. It’s not a real medical device, however, the temperature readings it shows are very close to the medical device and give you a rough idea of a person’s temperature. How to find it is simple, all you have to do is press the shortcut button on the side provided for this function.

    umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

    UMiDigi A11 Battery And Charging:

In terms of battery, UMIDIGI A11 features a large Li-Po battery non-removable with 5150 mAh capacity and 10W fast charging, which is not very fast but better than the basic 5W and takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge via USB Type-C, with no support for wireless charging, but its absence in this category is normal.

    • umidigi-a11-smartphone-review

If you are a regular user, the battery will easily last for a whole working day, depending on your usage such as the times you open the screen, and the type of applications you run, also it suffices for more than 9 consecutive hours of watching videos. however, its performance was good and this is mostly because it is equipped with stock Android 11 doesn’t have any pre-installed programs, even the interface is simple without any complications or processes in the background and this is what limits battery drain.

    Conclusion about UMIDIGI A11:

If you ask me if the UMIDIGI A11 smartphone is worth buying or you can recommend, my answer is definitely yes, and this is due to the experience that it will give you, given that it is a low-cost smartphone and the price does not exceed $ 150 with a stylish design and decent specifications in terms of the screen, cameras, and even the battery is acceptable with the addition of a scale Infrared heat, although this feature does not make this phone better, however, the A11 will not disappoint you.
