Design:
Yeelight Aurora Lightstrip Plus is Smart LIghtstrip that can be controlled with a mobile app, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa & IFTTT. The Lightstrip quality is quite sturdy with the plastic cover on top.
The Lightstrip is 2M long and comes with a Wi-Fi controller and power adapter. The Wi-Fi controller has a button that can use to ON/OFF the light strip or reset the light strip. A power adapter comes with long wire so that you can use the light strip anywhere without worrying about the power plug requirement.
How does it work?
To able to control the light strip the from phone or any other voice assistant, you need a Wi-Fi router with the Internet at home. For the first time, you’ve to connect the light strip with your existing router using the Yeelight app. Once the setup is done you can now control the light stip using a phone app or voice assistant.
How to use it?
With the mobile app, you can choose the color, control the brightness, set the predefined scenes, or put the light on flow mode which auto change the light color in regular interval. Apart from that, you can put the light strip on schedule mode which auto switches ON/OFF light at a given time. And With Voice assistant like Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa, you can change the brightness, change the color & turn off/on the light strip.
Performance:
The Yeelight Aurora Lightstrip Plus produces accurate color with very high lumens It supports over 16 million colors that you can change from the free app.
On the setup phase, I find that the Aurora is pretty flexible and easily bendable to my liking. It shouldn’t be a problem to install it in tricky places and corners.
Aurora provides multiple recommended formulas for universal scenarios, sunrise, sunset, dating night, movie, birthday party, romance, home, flash notify, candle flicker, and continuous upcoming ones. Just one simple touch, Aurora would make the scene come to life that’s best suited to the mood.
Disadvantages Yeelight Aurora Light Strip Plus:
The only issue with the light strip is that the length of the standard package is very low only 2M But it can be solved by buying another light strip and soldering it together.
